Delete your account

How to delete your account in the app

1. 1Open the app and log in to your account.
2. 2Workers: go to the Profile tab and scroll to the bottom. Tap Delete account.
   Admins: tap the settings icon on the home screen and scroll to the bottom. Tap Delete account.
3. 3Enter your password to confirm. Your account will be permanently deleted immediately.

What data is deleted

The following data is permanently and immediately deleted when you delete your account:

• ✓Your account profile — name, email address, phone number, and role
• ✓Your login credentials (Firebase Authentication account)
• ✓Your membership of any organisation
• ✓Your assignment from any upcoming or past shifts

What data is retained

Payment recordsthat reference your account are anonymised rather than deleted. Your name is replaced with “Deleted User” and your user ID is cleared. The record itself is retained for the organisation's accounting purposes. No personally identifiable information remains in these records after deletion.

Shift data (titles, dates, times, locations) created by your organisation is not personal data and remains visible to your organisation's admin.

Can't access the app?

If you are unable to log in to the app to delete your account, email us at hello@shiftbestie.co.uk with the subject line Account deletion request and include the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days.
